Engagement note
Nonfunctional turf lookup and water agency information
I built a nonfunctional turf lookup tool that turns a property address into water agency information: the serving water district, partner water districts, available nonfunctional turf rebates, and whether the board has adopted AB 1572 requirements.

The context for the work
Property owners need to connect an address with the agencies and information relevant to their property. The tool brings water district relationships, rebate information, and local adoption information into one lookup.
What the lookup returns
Enter an address to find the serving water district and partner water districts, available nonfunctional turf (NFT) rebates, and information on whether the board has adopted AB 1572 requirements. The public portal also distinguishes retail and wholesale providers.
How the information is maintained
I built a monthly process that retrieves water district board minutes and uses AI to analyze them for updates. Those updates inform the water district information presented to customers through the lookup tool.
Confirm details with the water agency
The tool uses public information and automated analysis. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate. Confirm rebate availability, adoption status, and applicable requirements directly with the responsible water agency.
Limits of the public record
This note does not disclose the client’s identity, private deliverables, budget, internal systems, or outcome figures. It does not claim an audit result or a measured improvement.
